Police arrest four minors for robbery of foreign citizens in Tbilisi committed in group

Officers of Vake-Saburtalo Main Division of Tbilisi Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, arrested four minors for robbery committed in group one of whom has a previous conviction, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

The investigation established that the defendants attacked foreign citizens in Tbilisi, physically assaulted them, appropriated their mobile phones and personal belongings, and fled the scene.

As a result of immediate the operational measures and investigative actions carried out by law enforcement officers, the perpetrators of the crime were arrested. The stolen items were seized as evidence.

The investigation is underway under Article 178 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning the imprisonment for a term of up to 8 years.
