ALDE: Russia has declared Droa an "undesirable organization" for standing up against occupation, defending Georgia’s sovereignty, and fighting for a European future – we stand firmly with Droa

The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) has responded to Russia’s designation of the Georgian opposition party "Droa" as an "undesirable organization.

"ALDE expresses its support for "Droa," noting that the party is fighting for a free, democratic, and European Georgia.

"Our Georgian member party Droa Party has been declared an “undesirable organisation” by Russia for standing up against occupation, defending Georgia’s sovereignty and fighting for a European future. ALDE Party and LYMEC received the same designation last year. We stand firmly with Droa and all those fighting for a free, democratic, and European Georgia!" - reads a statement by ALDE.

According to information released by the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia, the activities of the "Droa" party have been declared "undesirable" due to its "Russophobic views."
