The actual fact is that the state institutes don’t actually operate in our country, people merely work there; precisely this is our most vulnerable problem and a sore point for our country today -- Vakhtang Dzabiradze
"I would define the Prime Minister’s speech that has covered all the acute issues of our country and has answered all questions from the left-wing party regarding the government’s chosen course in the UNO as brilliant. Atop the UNO rostrum, the Premier made it absolutely clear that the acting authorities are unwavering in their decision not to veer from the taken path. Gharibashvili’s move to highlight two core aspects of the Russian-Georgian ruffled relations is absolutely right. On the one hand, he underscored that Georgia is moved by a desire to mend economic and cultural ties with Russia, and, on the other hand, he strongly stressed that Georgia will always strain with accepting the fact that our country has lost its territories due to Russia and the Georgian people will always strive for regaining our occupied regions,” announces expert Vakhtang Dzabiradze in his interview with the “Kviris Palitra gazette.
“PM Gharibashvili has cast light on the terrible repercussions of the Russian-Georgian war of 2008 and declared that Russia must pull its troops back from Georgia’s breakaway regions. Mr. Gharibashvili mentioned “occupation” in his speech twice and has voiced strong support for Ukraine. Fortunately, he also has not forgotten to highlight the refugees’ problems as well as the necessity to safeguard their rights. In my opinion, Irakli Gharibashvili has also raised an extremely good initiation regarding the “Silk Road.” If the aforementioned initiation is put into practice, not only our region but also the entire Europe and Asia may benefit from this… However, while casting light on the internal issue and releasing the statements regarding the immensely fast pace of our democratic development as well as our promising social and economic background, in my mind, the PM has over exaggerated. The truth is that the reforms that will move our country forward by speeding up its democratic development have not been passed here thus far,” claims Mr. Dzabiradze.
“We cannot indulge in pushing our luck; neither can we hope that since the first two elections ran smoothly in Georgia, future elections will go without problems too. They still have to introduce a number of amendments to the election code; they have to refine election lists. Obviously, I don’t think that Gharibashvili should have totally focused on their weak points; however, releasing some self-critical remarks would clearly have spoken well off him. Problems are ubiquitous in our country; they are in our legislative body, they are in our people’s lives. Have the authorities managed to deliver the goods? Have they succeeded in advancing our economy? Have they managed to draw positive changes in our people’s lives? I don’t really think so,” contends the respondent.
“As for the National’s move to stage a rally outside the UNO Headquarters where along with a clique of Georgians, they dubbed Gharibashvili as “Russia’s Slave” or a “Murderer,” what can be said regarding this ridiculous behavior of theirs? We must simply shrug their actions off and give them the cold shoulder. Willingly or unwillingly the Nationals are being formed as a marginal and contemptible group… Simply look at the Rustavi-2 programs; their journalists are propagating the National Movement and are straining to make our people see them in a good light. All this soon will have a boomerang effect and an immensely negative impact on the Nationals. These ridiculous actions cannot inflict any major harm on the Georgian Dream Coalition. As for the Nationals, they will gradually be leveled to the ground and will be viewed as outcasts not only inside the country but also outside its borders. They are eventually losing the Western leaders’ backing… However, the Government must be vigilant and must keep an alert eye on the present developments in Georgia, where some belligerent groups have already been actuated…” maintains the expert.
"It’s not a secret that the country is in desperate need of new rational reforms that must be enacted as soon as possible. 2 years have already passed; however, the country has dwelt in stagnation so far. The actual fact is that the state institutes don’t actually operate in our country, people merely work here; precisely this is our most vulnerable problem and a sore point for our country today,” concludes Mr. Dzabiradze.
I starkly warn them against taking irrational steps or I will name all sportsmen that once were the Nationals’ slaves, meekly submitting to their each and every directive and enjoying an astronomical remuneration while doing this -- Luka Kurtanidze
“I’ve put aside my feelings, I stifling my hatred towards them and by doing this, I have shown them that we, the people, must forget abhorrence and must try to live in love and peace. However, despite this, I have still failed to hammer into the heads of those people who have been “contaminated” by Saakashvili’s 9-year rule and who are head over heels in a “filthy mire” that it’s high time that they started to back down and repent of their sins; they have kept on piling their overwhelming aggression against the present authorities; and their aggression is really far-reaching. Each walk of our life, including sports, has already been poisoned with their spiteful aggression, claims President of Georgia’s National Wrestling Federation, Luka Kurtanidze, in his interview with the “Asaval-Dasavali” gazette.
“The Nationals have kept issuing different threats against us; they have kept intimidating us by threatening that they will send us to prisons again. However, some of them have repented too; some of these people have expressed their deep sorrow because of their participation in the 26 May crackdown. They have begged me to forgive them. They have explained to me that they simply followed orders. It may not serve as a strong argument justifying their misdeeds but we cannot require acts of valor and heroic deeds from each of them. As for those Nationals who don’t have even the slightest desire to learn from their past mistakes, they must definitely be sidelined from our society. I cannot say that any of our sportsmen have repented or even apologized; however, they have made it clear that they were forced to go to Zestaponi, Samtredia and other regions of Georgia to perform a mission with which the Nationals have committed them,” maintains Luka Kurtanidze.
“I have raised the issue of dismissing those coaches from our National Wrestling Federation that have failed to achieve any kind of tangible success for 2 long years. This brought a negative response from them, and suddenly those seekers of vengeance who served as pillars of the “National’s Community” have appeared out of nowhere and backed them up. I starkly warn them against taking irrational steps or I will name all sportsmen that once were the Nationals’ slaves, meekly submitting to their each and every directive and enjoyed an astronomical remuneration while doing this. And precisely these people are now expressing their overt dissatisfaction and crying over the bygone days when they “had their slice of the pie” due to their readiness to always be on call and serve the criminals,” declares the respondent.
"Some of them did not comply with these thugs’ instructions but still got their salaries as they were always ready to cover for other’s misdeeds and in this way reinforce Saakashvili’s regime. Davit Gobejishvili announced that he would never be there where Luka Kurtanidze is. And this is absolutely right; room for Gobejishvili cannot be really found near Luka Kurtanidze which is why if he has not lost all his dignity and self-respect, he’d better leave the federation. He’d better look back over the years and remember how vigorously he used to serve Misha’s profligate regime,” concludes the respondent.
“Georgia in some ways resembles a traditional SU country”
"All these deviations in our economy are really worth sounding the alert over. Thanks to them, we incrementally resemble to an ordinary, ancient and obsolete SU state. These countries do also have economic growth; however, by this criterion we cannot really assess the situation in the country and its future prospects,” states “Economic Development Center” Head, Roman Gotsiridze, in his interview with the Akhali Taoba gazette.
“Georgia eventually will resemble to the post-Soviet states such as Armenia, Moldova, Belorussia, and Azerbaijan, where they have totally centered on the role of a state which runs each and every realm of the people’s lives. Instead of tackling the paramount issues of national importance and leaving the rest for private businesses, a state controls everything there – it ploughs, it plans, it gives out hoes and spades to the people. First they started with nugatory restrictions, however, these restrictions eventually alarmingly increased…The Revenue Service, for instance, is strongly determined to control our bank accounts, deposits, each an every step by us… Why or for what reason do they want to do this? We have served as an independent body for almost 25 years and not even a single government of Georgia has ever attempted to bring us under its thumb,” maintains Mr. Gotsiridze.
“Over the years, we did not face any kind of difficulty in administering our taxes… All this points to one thing only – the present authorities are simply weak and feeble which is why they lack confidence and cannot believe that they will prove able to replenish the state budget without extreme measures. And indisputably by doing this, they are conveying a bad message to our businesses, foreign investors as well as ordinary civilians,” contends the respondent.
“By being strongly convinced that a country through administrative levers can do a better job than an independent power means that they are stepping backwards in the political arena; by doing this, they are giving advantage to a paternalistic economy over a liberal one. And this is truly alarming as this will by all odds cause a decrease in foreign investments and will besmirch the reputation of a country that is endeavoring to create and maintain its European image. In the end, we will obviously have to pay a high price for this. I don’t really claim that we are on the verge of disaster or nothing on earth can pull us back from sliding into catastrophe but the present situation is really worth paying attention to…,” concludes the respondent.
Last examination proved to me that the murderer was sitting in late Erosi’s car – Zurab Kitsmarishvili
"On September 26, another forensic examination aiming to work out in what kind of situation the murderer shot his victim was reportedly held on Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s case,” reports the Kviris Palitra gazette.
“As the investigators found out, before he was murdered, Erosi was leaning against his seat; his unnatural position makes me doubt that there was someone in the car. Let’s see at what conclusion the expert will come up with but my version that the murderer was behind his victim in the back seat will be rather difficult to rebut. As it seems, he tried to hold late Kitsmarishvili up against his seat. Moreover, I think that there may have been more than one murderer inside the car. Soon I will urge them to recognize us as victims. I hope that after this, other materials besides the conclusive reports from the experts will also become available to us… I am looking forward to uncovering the truth and I can wait even longer… I will reverse nothing on earth to find my brother’s murderer,” declares Erosi Kitsmarishvili’s brother, Zurab Kitsmarishvili.
“As independent expert, Zaza Altunashvili thinks Erosi was sitting in a rather unnatural position, too close to his seat. Some other evidence that has been found in Erosi’s car makes us smell a rat in this situation. We also know that the shot was well placed; in a nutshell, the victim was shot at close range,” says the article.
“A shot was indisputably fired at point-blank range; late KItsmarishvili had his head back in an extremely unnatural position; on top of that, his finger prints have not been discovered on the revolver. In addition to this, his seat belt was not tightened. I categorically rule out that Mr. Kitsmarishvili could have been placed in his car after he was killed,” claims Zaza Altunashvili.
