Government plans to reshuffle state agencies
“As our political experts claim, a massive reshuffling is in the making for different state agencies. They also fear that along with others, many consummate professionals who are associated with Irakli Gharibashvili’s team will be forced out of their offices,”- reports the Rezonansi.
At yesterday’s session, Prime Minister Gharibashvili stressed that officials in the Defense Ministry who enjoy Kezerashvili’s favor have not only kept their posts, but have also been undeservedly promoted. Gharibashvili also praised the new Defense Minister Mindia Janelidze.
“I know perfectly well that your ministry has not been restructured for years. Moreover, you have been forced to tolerate officials who were in Kezerashvili and Akhalaia’s good grasses, inpiduals who were wrongly promoted. However, when you took office, you started to rectify the situation which is why they vented their anger on you,”- the Prime Minister told Janelidze.
According to MP Goguadze, with his address the PM appealed to the ministers to purge state structures of unwanted officials; however, as she thinks, by doing so they will push the country to the brink of disaster.
“We cannot discriminate against people because of their political allegiance. Such an approach is precisely what is devastating our country,”- declares the deputy.
MP Goduadze, and Nika Chitadze both think that by “some other ministers” Irakli Gharibashvili implied Irakli Alasania. According to them, Irakli Gharibashvili simply saw another opportunity to drag Irakli Alasania’s name through mud.
As Mr. Chitadze maintains, Irakli Gharibashvili wanted to discredit Irakli Alasania.
“Under Alasania changes to the ministry were actually introduced; for instance, he restructured the General Staff and appointed experienced General Vakhtang Kapanadze as chief of General Staff .
The former Defense Minister staffed the ministry with many highly qualified officials; thus, I cannot agree with Gharibashvili and I do think that his statement only aimed to discredit Alasania,”- declares Ghitadze and adds that every state structure must be staffed with people loyal to the government.
