Moscow says Georgia's peace initiative is defined only by how it is perceived in Sokhumi and Tskhinvali

Georgia's peace initiative is defined only by how it is perceived in Sokhumi and Tskhinvali, - the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday commenting on the speech of the Georgian Prime Minister's at the UN General Assembly.

"We paid attention to the speech of the head of the government of Georgia at the UN General Assembly meeting. He called on Russia not to interfere with some new peace initiative in relation to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. This speech left a strange feeling. As we see, they are trying to convince the international community of something that is far from the reality as if the population of those republics will be happy to return to the composition of Georgia unless there are not Russian occupants.

We hope that Georgian politicians understand the reality when they are not busy with their propagandistic exercises, "reads the Russian Foreign Ministry's comment.
