Fire has broken out in the forest nearby the village of Zekari, Imereti region. According to the Emergency Service, 5 hectares of area have been burned down.
55 firefighters are combating the fire in the forest, which cannot be accessed by vehicles.
According to the Emergency Service, there is no danger the fire to be spread in the inhabited area.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation.
