Former Marneuli Mayor Temur Abazov has been released from prison.

The pre-trial detention of Temur Abazov was changed into 10 000 GEL bail yesterday.

Temur Abazov, former mayor of Marneuli, was arrested by the Prosecutor's Office on June 13 and was sent to pre-trail detention on June 14. Abazov was charged with inhuman or degrading treatment of a servant and the spread of video showing other person’s private life.

Temur Abazov categorically denies charges and alleges that the witnesses are lying. He is going to file a suit for defamation.

“It was a serious physiological blow to my family. I will necessarily file a suit for the defamation”, he said.
