The technical inspection is becoming mandatory for all vehicles from January 1, 2019.

The cost of the inspection for light cars is GEL 60, while for trucks and mini buses – GEL 100. As the Ministry of Economics and Sustainable Development explains, the technical inspections depends on the date of registration of the car. For example, if a car registration certificate was issued on October 28, 2013, the vehicle must be inspected before October 28, 2019.
