The Prosecutor General's Office released a statement on the confrontation that occurred between law enforcers in Vani.

"The General Inspection of the Prosecutor General's Office of Georgia launched an investigation into the January 11 incident in Vani. As a result of the examination of the fact, the General Inspection will determine whether there was any wrongdoing and afterwards the relevant decision will be made.

Information about the results of the investigation will be provided to the public," reads the statement.
