Early results : Georgia’s GDP grows by 5.6 % y/y in  December

The estimated real Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth rate in December 2018 amounted to 5.6 percent compared to the previous year, while the real GDP average growth amounted 4.8 percent for 2018 y/y.

As the National Statistics Office, Geostat, informs, in December of 2018, the estimated real growth, compared to the same period of the previous year, was posted in the following activities: Manufacturing, Construction, Hotels and restaurants, Real estate, renting and business activities.

According to Geostat, electricity, gas and water supply, transport and financial sectors suffered contraction during the mentioned period.
