The Special Task Unit has left the Pankisi Gorge, but law enforcers are still mobilized to ensure a public order in the gorge. Some protesters have left the territory, but some are still staying in Birkiani village. Up to 50 persons were injured in the clash between the law enforcers and locals in Pankisi Gorge today. The protest was triggered by the construction of Hydro Power Plant in the village. Police used tear gas rubber bullets.
