Grigol Vashadze: We will bring 1 400 representatives of opposition parties and up to 2000 representatives of NGOs in Zugdidi

According to the leader of the united opposition, Grigol Vashadze, it is not true that the opposition plans to create chaos for Zugdidi mayoral elections on May 19.

According to him, the united opposition will bring 1 400 representatives of opposition parties and up to 2000 representatives of non-governmental organization in Zugdidi.

As Vashadze said, the Georgian Dream is trying to rule Georgia through fake news, falseness and dictate.

"The government allege we are planning to create chaos and provocations in Zugdidi and that’s why are bringing people there. This is a government that has been stealing elections since 2013. In all elections since 2013, we saw provocations, personal abuses, intimidation, bribery and neglect of the opinion of the international community”, Vashadze said.

According to him, the government is not going to take into account any recommendation of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR).

“We are really bringing an unprecedented number of observers, because we have seen the methods of Georgian Dream. We will not let them rig the elections. Which will not control the so-called power of the state Ash, arrives NGO 2000 representative. Yes, we will bring 1 400 representatives of opposition parties, up to 2000 representatives of non-governmental organization and about 1000 volunteers in Zugdidi. We have 216 members of election commission, which will not be under the government control,

Most importantly, they have been instructed by the leaders of the united opposition that they should not respond to provocations and violence should act as a civilized political force”, Vashadze said.
