Ministry of Internal Affairs makes explanations about questioning of the juvenile who then attempted to commit suicide

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has commented on the questioning of juvenile over making inscriptions both inside and outside the Green School, who attempted to commit suicide.

As InterPressNews was told by the agency, the teenager was questioned twice and in both cases in the presence of his parent.

“On December 10, the former student of the Green School was questioned as a witness at the police station and he denied painting of the school walls.

The next day, on December 11, the juvenile again arrived at the police station, on the parent's initiative, but the teenager refused to be questioned and left the police station together with her parent about 40 minutes later.

The questioning of the minor was attended by the parent on both days.

The teenager's mother has not expressed any complaints against police officers.

Investigation into the teenager's suicide attempt was launched on December 11.

The notification was sent to the General Inspectorate on December 12 and the police officer was accused of pressure. The General Inspectorate forwarded the abovementioned notification to the State Inspectorate's Office, which is currently investigating the case,” the Interior Ministry told InterPressNews.

Information about the juvenile’s commit attempt was released by the Georgian Young Lawyers' Association. The report of the organization says the juvenile attempted suicide allegedly for psychological abuse by investigators.
