Davit Bakradze: It is abuse of power and corruption to borrow money for nothing and this should be subject of investigation

According to Davit Bakradze, the leader of European Georgia, the state audit report, according to which, 11 investment projects financed with GEL 243 million of foreign debt have not been implemented at all in 2019, should become a basis for the law enforcement agencies to respond.

"Foreign debt has been increasing every year in recent years and today it is really at a record high. But we cannot see anything done with this money in the country.

The audit report is just one example of the fact that we are borrowing money and leaving the debts to the next generation, and we are not doing anything with this money.

This is not just an example of inability, this is a direct crime. It is necessary to start an investigation based on the audit report to find out why these projects have zero implementation. It is abuse of power and corruption to borrow money for nothing and this should be subject of investigation,” Bakradze said.
