Azerbaijan and Armenia accuse each other of violating the new ceasefire agreement. According to the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry, the Armenian side broke the truce and opened fire in the direction of Jebrail.

The Armenian side claims that the ceasefire was first violated by Azerbaijan.

On October 17, Azerbaijan and Armenia reached a new ceasefire agreement for humanitarian purposes in Nagorno-Karabakh. The foreign ministries of the countries said that the fire would be stopped from 00:00 on October 18, although the conditions are not met by either side.
