Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has resigned.
According to Tass, Pashinyan named the June 20 parliamentary elections in the country as the reason for his resignation, and said that he would continue to serve as acting prime minister during this time.
"According to the agreement reached with the President and the political forces, I am resigning today in order to hold early parliamentary elections on June 20. Parliament will not elect a new Prime Minister. During this period, I will continue to be the Prime Minister of Armenia, in full compliance with the law and the Constitution", - he said.
