Shalva Papuashvili: We expect that Nika Melia will fulfill and not violate the terms of the bail, as for the political part, I personally do not have high expectations

First of all, we expect that Nika Melia will fulfill and not violate the terms of the bail. On the other hand, as for the political part, I personally do not have high expectations, - Shalva Papuashvili, a member of the parliamentary majority, said about the possible development of events after Nika Melia’s release from prison.

As Shalva Papuashvili told reporters, the United National Movement has established itself as a radical party in recent months, and this radicalism is likely to continue.

"We have seen that during these months the National Movement has established itself as a radical party, so the only thing I can expect is that this radicalism is likely to continue. It will be good if they deviate from this path and turn into a constructive riverbed, but let's see, it is up to them," Papuashvili said.

At the same time, he said that the fact that the National Movement still refrains from signing the agreement document proposed by Charles Michel, but enjoys the benefits of this document, indicates the irresponsibility of the party.

"The very fact that the United National Movement, European Georgia and the parties that did not sign the April 19 agreement enjoy the benefits of this agreement and, on the other hand, do not want to take responsibility for themselves shows that their attitude towards their own voters, towards the citizens of this country and towards this country in general is not responsible and they try to avoid obligations and responsibilities imposed on politicians. They want to receive only the benefits from this document and not responsibilities," Papuashvili said.
