Georgia starts vaccination process with Chinese "Sinovac" from today

The vaccination process against coronavirus with Chinese "Sinovac" starts today in Georgia.

According to the Ministry of Health, the Chinese-made "Sinovac" vaccine, like "Sinopharm", is a vaccine based on the traditional method, i.e. the method of inactivated virus, which is used for people over 18 years of age.

"2 doses required for vaccination are made at 21-day intervals. According to official data, 260 million doses of Sinovac vaccine have been delivered to different countries. The Sinovac vaccine was positively evaluated by the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts on Immunization. Vaccination against COVID-19 is an effective and safe way to protect against infection. The World Health Organization, public health agencies and qualified doctors are recommending vaccination against COVID-19", - the Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry also publishes the vaccination registration portal (https://booking.moh.gov.ge/) and the registration instructions (https://fb.watch/4c2mI8hKtj/).
