Ukrainian Ombudsman Liudmyla Denisova states that the Ambassador of Georgia to Ukraine Giorgi Zakareishvili canceled a meeting with her.
According to Ukrainskaya Pravda, Denisova posted the relevant statement on Telegram.
She said the ambassador canceled the offer to meet with her "due to the political context of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's statement" relating to Saakashvili, as well as due to further consultation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
According to the ombudsman, she wanted to get an explanation about Saakashvili’s right to health and life, as well as his procedural rights. According to her, Saakashvili's forcible transfer to Gldani No. 18 created a situation that endangers his life and health.
Denisova says the prison hospital cannot comply with the recommendations of the doctors' council and due to the lack of necessary equipment there, it is necessary to place Saakashvili in a properly equipped facility.
