Tbilisi City Court has ordered pre-trial detention for Tsalenjikha City Council member Gela Abuladze and Mayor's representative Anzor Pipia. Another 9 people detained together with them have been released on bail.

More specifically, one of the detainees, Nunu Abuladze, was released on 2,000 GEL bail, while others were released on GEL 6,000 bail.

According to the defense, the charge against Gela Abuladze is absurd and he does not plead guilty. Accordingly, the defense considers that no measures of restraint should have been taken against Abuladze.

Members of the Georgian Parliament from Giorgi Gakharia's party, as well as members of the Tsalenjikha City Council, stood surety for Abuladze. However, Judge Lasha Kldiashvili did not grant the motion of the defense.

Gela Abuladze, Anzor Pipia and 9 other persons are accused of fraudulent misappropriation of a large amount of state-owned property.
