According to the judge, the court will send an official letter to the Penitentiary Service requesting additional information on Saakashvili's health and the measures already taken

According to Tbilisi City Court Judge Nino Elieshvili, the court will send an official letter to the Penitentiary Service today, requesting additional information on Saakashvili's health and the measures already taken.

Elishvili said this in response to a motion by Mikheil Saakashvili's lawyers regarding the deterioration of the health of the third President. According to the judge, the lawyers' motion could not be granted without the relevant written documentation, however, they will apply to the penitentiary institution in writing.

"As part of the ruling, which we made at the February 23 hearing, we send an additional letter to the penitentiary institution and request that appropriate measures be taken for its health. In order to further discuss the motion, we need to have some documentation regarding the state of health," said Nino Elieshvili.
