Mamuka Mdinaradze asks opposition whether “Georgia deserves to be granted the status of a candidate country for EU membership”

Mamuka Mdinaradze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream parliamentary faction, addressed representatives of the opposition to answer a question – “According to the current situation, does Georgia deserve to be granted the status of a candidate country for EU membership?”

Mdinaradze asked the above question at the plenary sitting of the Parliament, where Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Ilia Darchiashvili is answering MPs’ questions.

"In my opinion, this is the most important question that you have not yet answered and I hope that the representatives of our respected opposition will answer the question today: Does Georgia deserve to be granted the candidate status? Today we need to be objective, no matter how difficult it may be to answer this question. Today we are waiting for answers to questions from the Minister and we are also waiting for answers to this most urgent question from our opponents," Mdinaradze said.
