Irakli Kobakhidze: European Parliament resolution may be perceived as a hint that Georgia, unlike Ukraine and Moldova, may not be granted EU candidate status

This fuss coincided suspiciously with Bakuriani's meeting, where Peter Ackerman, an expert on revolutions, trained the National Movement, its parties, televisions and NGOs in a coup d'etat - we do not rule out that making the fuss around the candidate's status was decided at the Bakuriani meeting, Georgian Dream chairman Irakli Kobakhidze stated at the briefing.

As Kobakhidze stated, according to the opposition, Georgia, unlike Ukraine and Moldova, should not receive the status of a candidate, which should be followed by the agitation of a part of the society, especially young people, and a coup d'etat by the National Movement. The end of all this is Georgia's involvement in the war.

The European Parliament resolution can be perceived as a kind of hint that Georgia, unlike Ukraine and Moldova, may not be granted EU candidate status. If this happens, naturally, it will be a completely illogical and unjust decision, to which all people interested in peace, the rule of law and the advancement of the economy in Georgia will have their reaction.

We will not anticipate the events and will wait until June 23-24, when the final decision on candidate status is to be made. In accordance with the decision, we will provide the public with more information about the behind-the-scenes developments around the candidate status and relevant personal conversations," Irakli Kobakhidze said.
