According to Kakha Kaladze, secretary general of the Georgian Dream, the statement of the representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe regarding Mikheil Saakashvili means nothing to him.

According to Kaladze, Saakashvili is an ordinary prisoner and he will have to serve his sentence. He said that if the former President has any needs, the penitentiary system will do its best to protect the health and safety of the prisoner as much as possible.

"Their call means nothing to me. The main thing for me is the Constitution and law. All kinds of medical treatment is possible in Georgia for humanitarian purposes. Therefore, if there is any additional need, the relevant agency - the penitentiary system - will do its best to ensure the health and safety of not only Saakashvili, but all prisoners," said Kaladze.

The declaration, signed by several members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, states that the signatories are concerned about the health of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. According to them, Saakashvili urgently needs to be transferred to a modern clinic.
