Irakli Kobakhidze: 20,000 people were gathered in front of the Parliament when Davit Arakhamia addressed them in Russian - why didn’t it bother anyone?

20,000 people were gathered in front of the Parliament when Davit Arakhamia addressed them in Russian - why didn’t it bother anyone? This is a double standard, Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of Georgian Dream, said while talking to journalists.

As Kobakhidze explained, Russophobia is one of the directions of xenophobia.

"Today, one of the journalists asked me a question about the Russian language, about how people are bothered hearing Russian. Let us remind you that 20,000 people were gathered in front of the Parliament when Davit Arakhamia addressed them in Russian - why didn’t it bother anyone? This is a double standard. Attempts are made to create problems artificially. Xenophobia and chauvinism are artificially created problems," Kobakhidze said.
