As is known, last year, with the very active involvement of the Prime Minister of Georgia, with his personal participation, an important agreement was reached between our two neighbors and we got concrete tangible results, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Ilia Darchiashvili.

According to him, Georgia continues to make its important contribution to the strengthening of security and peace of the region.

"As is known, last year, with the very active involvement of the Prime Minister of Georgia, with his personal participation, an important agreement was reached between our two neighbors, and we got concrete tangible results. Last year, during the General Assembly session, the Prime Minister of Georgia spoke openly about the peaceful neighborhood policy of our country, and just a few months ago, Georgia hosted the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan within the framework of this declared policy. Within the framework of the common policy, Georgia continues its efforts to make its significant contribution to the strengthening of security and peace of our region. Georgia has always been ready to offer our neighbors to the south a country, a place where they could open a dialogue in the direction of strengthening peace, and in this direction our country's offer is still valid, and if it becomes necessary, our country will be involved in the mediation process. We are always ready for this and we have no preconditions in this regard. Our main goal is to have peace and stability in our region," said Ilia Darchiashvili.
