Defense Minister participates in defense ministerial in Brussels

Georgian Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze is visiting Brussels, Belgium.

According to the information of the Ministry of Defense, on October 12-13, the NATO headquarters will host the meetings of the defense ministers of the member and partner countries of the alliance.

The Minister of Defense already held a meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

"Juansher Burchuladze will also attend the meeting of the Ukraine contact group in the Rammstein format, which is being organized by the US Department of Defense. At the meeting, the current situation in Ukraine, the country's needs and opportunities, as well as future prospects and the opportunities of NATO member and non-member countries to help Ukraine will be discussed.

Bilateral meetings are scheduled as part of the visit. Juansher Burchuladze will meet the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. The parties will discuss security challenges, issues of strengthening NATO-Georgia compatibility and deepening NATO-Georgia practical cooperation in order to strengthen Georgia's defense capabilities. The Minister of Defense will also meet with David Cutler, Assistant Secretary General of NATO for Intelligence and Security," reads the information.
