The fact that Bidzina Ivanishvili personally is not on the list of sanctioned persons does not change anything, all this is about him. Everything that is happening is related to his personality, European Georgia chairman Giga Bokeria evaluated the sanctioning of persons close to Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of Georgian Dream, by Ukraine.

According to him, this is a great shame, "which we will wash away only when we change this regime and take the right steps."

"This was more or less expected from the Ukrainian authorities. We do not know when this will happen from the US, EU or any other European countries.

In the end, such oligarchs always end badly. I'm just critical of creating these expectations that it's going to change our reality. We should tell the citizens that this is a reminder to us of how much responsibility we have to change this reality, and not hope that this is a factor in solving our problems. Lukashenko was also sanctioned for a long time, so we should not miss the moment of our responsibility," said Giga Bokeria.

4 members of Bidzina Ivanishvili's close circle have been included in the list of persons sanctioned by Ukraine. In particular, Ukraine imposed sanctions on Bidzina Ivanishvili's brother, Alexandre Ivanishvili and his wife, Ketevan Kharaidze, cousin Ucha Mamatsashvili and his son - Tate Mamatsashvili. The relevant decree is posted on the official website of the President of Ukraine.

Several Georgian businessmen are also in the list of sanctioned persons, namely: Davit Iakobashvili, Aleksandre and Giorgi Japaridzes.
