Ana Buchukuri: Bidzina Ivanishvili had a formal position and it was Ivanishvili who signed the document appointing Gakharia as Prime Minister

Giorgi Gakharia's tweet caused great concern and panic both in the government and opposition parties - they seem to have something in common, they always unite against Giorgi Gakharia! - Ana Buchukuri, For Georgia MP, told journalists.

When asked why Gakharia just now discovered that Bidzina Ivanishvili is an oligarch, Buchukuri explained that while Giorgi Gakharia held official position, Bidzina Ivanishvili had a formal position and it was Ivanishvili who signed the document no appointing minating Gakharia as Prime Minister.

According to her, the problem of informal governance arose in the country after Ivanishvili publicly announced that he was leaving politics, although later it was repeatedly proved that he did not go anywhere.

"Giorgi Gakharia responded to Antony Blinken's statement. The fact that corruption and oligarchy are significant challenges in our country is not a discovery of our team. The international community also says the same. As for who the oligarch is, Bidzina Ivanishvili is named as an oligarch in the official document of the European Union, and this is not a discovery of our team either.

The problem of informal governance arose after Ivanishvili publicly announced that he was leaving politics, although it was later repeatedly proved that he did not go anywhere. The first proof is related to our team - he said that he was leaving politics, however, after Gakharia moved to the opposition, he expressed his political position in writing and thus gave the green light to the entire Georgian Dream. The Georgian Dream leadership dared to open fire against Gakharia just after that. Then we saw many examples, including when the entire leadership of Georgian Dream uses the state resources to protect Ivanishvili's money and well-being. We have seen the attacks against the US Ambassador," said Ana Buchukuri.

Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the For Georgia party, said that corruption and oligarchy are the greatest enemies of democracy and both must be defeated in Georgia.

“Biggest enemies of democracy are corruption and oligarchy. They destroy state institutions, halt development and kill hope for future. Both have to be defeated in Georgia!”, he tweeted.
