Gia Volski: A large part of society has forgotten Gakharia's existence in the political field, and he can only attract attention by such "braying"

A large part of society has forgotten Gakharia's existence in the political field, and he can only attract attention by such "braying", First Vice-Speaker of Parliament Gia Volski said when commenting on Giorgi Gakharia's statement.

Volski also responded to the assessment of Gakharia's statement by the member of Georgian Dream, MP Dimitri Samkharadze, who called Giorgi Gakharia a rat and noted that a rat has certain characteristics.

"He made a statement about corruption, Ivanishvili's oligarchy, and I don't think that he presented himself positively as a politician or as a person. He has passed a long way, from being a business ombudsman to being the prime minister, and I don't think that a person who had a certain relationship, even personally, with Bidzina Ivanishvili and his team, may have any real reason for making this statement, other than political goals and speculations," he said.

Giorgi Gakharia, leader of the For Georgia party, said that corruption and oligarchy are the greatest enemies of democracy and both must be defeated in Georgia.

“Biggest enemies of democracy are corruption and oligarchy. They destroy state institutions, halt development and kill hope for future. Both have to be defeated in Georgia!” he tweeted.
