At the plenary session of the Parliament, there was a verbal confrontation between deputies Khatuna Samnidze and Irakli Kadagishvili

At the plenary session of the Parliament, where the Minister of Justice, Rati Bregadze is being heard within the Minister's Hour format, there was a verbal confrontation between MPs Khatuna Samnidze and Irakli Kadagishvili. A tense argument between the MPs followed the speech of Rati Bregadze, when the Minister read out an excerpt of the case of one of the convicts from the rostrum of the Parliament, where the fact of his/her torture and rape is discussed.

Bregadze decided to read out the aforementioned in response to the opposition, which asked the Minister of Justice about the torture of President Saakashvili.

Khatuna Samnidze asked the Minister from the seat why it was necessary to read out the said case from the Parliament tribune, which in turn was followed by the protest of Georgian Dream deputy Irakli Kadagishvili and his other colleagues.

"What they did was torture. The country was under stress. It was torture what the Minister was talking about. They got degenerate with this unprincipledness...," said Kadagishvili addressing Khatuna Samnidze.

On her part, Samnidze advised the ruling team to "finish this story and look ahead".

"Where were you at that time - you were silent," Samnidze addressed the deputies of Georgian Dream.
