Khatia Dekanoidze: I wish that the rallies had been united, strong, held at one location

I wish that the rallies had been united, strong, at one location - any kind of fluctuations in our party is in the interest of the ruling team, Khatia Dekanoidze, the chairwoman of the National Movement faction, said when commenting on the rallies held yesterday in various locations in support of Mikheil Saakashvili.

According to her, unity is the most important part of the fight against Ivanishvili, and any kind of division harms the party.

"I was not at the rallies due to my health condition, but I would go anywhere and will go anywhere where there are efforts to save Mikheil Saakashvili. Of course, I wish that the rallies had been united, powerful, held in one location. It is important to understand that any kind of fluctuations in our party is in the interest of the ruling team," said Dekanoidze.

When asked whether all this might be related to the internal elections in the party, Dekanoidze noted that it might be so.

"It may be related to the pre-election strategy, I don't rule it out and I think there is nothing special if we say it now, although we should all try to make it temporary," said Dekanoidze.

On January 4, solidarity rallies were held in several cities of Georgia, including in the capital Tbilisi, in support of Mikheil Saakashvili, by two opposing sides separately.
