Koba Nakopia’s statement is an attempt to rewrite history. The term "secret record" was established only during the rule of the National Movement, - said the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili.
By doing so, he responded to the statement of the Chairman of the Political Council of the National Movement, Koba Nakopia, according to which we cannot recall the facts of secret surveillance from the period of the ruling of the National Movement party.
"Koba Nakopia’s statement is an attempt to rewrite history. The National Movement is trying to change history not only relating to this but also other issues. It tries to portray what we have witnessed in a different way. In general, the term "secret record" was established only during the rule of the National Movement. Control of people by the state, illegal recording and wiretapping are what characterized the National Movement and its regime in particular", said Shalva Papuashvili.
