I will be in the party at least as long as Mikheil Saakashvili is a personal prisoner of Putin and Ivanishvili in the Georgian prison, therefore I will not leave the party. No one should hope for that, chairman of the political council of the National Movement, Koba Nakopia, told journalists.

According to him, he probably will not take part in the elections for the position of the chairman of the political council.

"As for my position, the political council elections are already in March. Most likely, I will not take part in the elections for the position of the chairman of the political council," said Nakopia.

Nakopia does not think that the National ­Movement will split into two wings.

"I don't think it will be divided into two sides. National ­Movement is a very big party, and I don't think these processes will follow, although there will probably be changes in the ruling circle. It's natural that when one candidate wins, he brings his team to rule. There's nothing surprising about that," said Nakopia.

For information, Levan Khabeishvili became the chairman of National ­Movement. He won 52.58% of the votes. As for other candidates - Nika Melia received 40% of the votes, Giorgi Mumladze - 3.68%, and Nona Mamulashvili - 3.73%. 41,264 people took part in the election of the chairman of the National ­Movement.
