I think that first of all, polarization, should end by our foreign friends. Absurd statements that we hear in relation to specific persons, of course, damage relations and contribute to polarization, said Kakha Kaladze, Secretary General of Georgian Dream and Mayor of Tbilisi.

According to him, he does not rule out the possibility of a political decision-making again regarding the granting of EU candidate status to Georgia.

"Obviously, everything will be done by us. All 12 points will be fulfilled. One of the directions of these points is depolarization, which obviously cannot happen unilaterally. It is impossible. Other recommendations, of course, will be carried out meticulously, but what decision will be made next, it does not depend on us. I do not rule out that they will make a political decision again and not grant us status. I do not exclude this based on today's reality, based on the decisions that were made then, even when Ukraine and Moldova were given status and they had no explanation as to why Georgia was not given status. Actually, in all aspects and in all directions, Georgia was much ahead, although I don't want anyone to think that I don't support either Ukraine or Moldova. On the contrary, I congratulate them on this status. Georgia was simply oppressed. It was a political decision," Kakha Kaladze said.
