Debate to be held in European Parliament about Mikheil Saakashvili’s condition today

Today, a debate will be held in the European Parliament about the condition of the third president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili. The issue is already on the agenda of the European Parliament.

The initiator of the debate is MEP Anna Fotyga. She said at the meeting held yesterday that everyone is informed about the serious condition of Mikheil Saakashvili and a debate is needed.

In addition, MEP Rasa Juknevičienė called on the Georgian authorities to transfer Mikheil Saakashvili to the intensive care unit. According to her, Saakashvili's condition has reached a critical state, and therefore, it is no more time for political deliberations.

Another MEP, Miriam Lexmann, said that the third president of Georgia should be allowed to immediately undergo treatment abroad.

The MEP shared photos on Twitter, which show the state of health of the former president of the country.
