The President of Ukraine finds time to walk around with photos of prisoner Saakashvili at briefings at a time when Russia, which is an occupier, including for us, is attacking his country, - the member of the parliamentary majority, Irakli Zarkua, said.

He responded to the statement of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who believes that "the Georgian Government has the goal of killing Saakashvili".

"I am very sorry... the President of Ukraine finds time of walking around with photos at briefings. This is very strange. He is losing territories, a lot of people are dying, Russia, which is the occupier, including for us, is attacking his country, and he finds time to walk around with pictures of prisoner Saakashvili. It is not clear to me. I wish the Ukrainian people victory, I wish them a decent government," Zarkua said.

According to him, a debate regarding Mikheil Saakashvili was planned in the European Parliament.

"This is a planned performance. Yesterday, prisoner Saakashvili took off his shirt and a debate was immediately appointed in EPP. Does anyone think that debates can be appointed in the European Parliament in one day, in a few hours because of a prisoner? This was planned in order to portray that Georgia and the authorities of Georgia are violating the rights of the prisoner, torturing and killing him. I would advise the MEPs, especially EPP, to leave our country," Zarkua noted.
