Irakli Kobakhidze: This draft law has fulfilled its tasks: everyone admitted that being an agent is shameful, everyone learned about the organizations that are involved in non-state activities and everyone learned that the "Bakuriani plan" will never be implemented

According to Irakli Kobakhidze, the chairman of Georgian Dream, this draft law has already fulfilled its 3 important tasks: everyone admitted that being an agent is shameful, everyone learned about the organizations that are involved in non-state activities and everyone learned that the "Bakuriani plan" will never be implemented. In addition, Kobakhidze thanked People's Power for drafting the bill.

"This bill has fulfilled its important tasks in various ways. Everyone admitted that being an agent is shameful, no matter whose agent you are. This is the first achievement of this bill. Also, everyone has learned about organizations that are involved in various non-state activities, such as demanding the government's resignation from the stage, which should not be the function of non-governmental organizations, as well as the declaration of unrigged elections as rigged elections, falsification of PVT, cursing of the church, LGBT propaganda, arranging provocations at the so-called border. These organizations, in fact, are not agents of the Georgian people, but agents of foreign influence - this is the second information that this draft law has shared with the Georgian society, and very clearly.

"This bill has done its important work in various ways. Everyone admitted that agency is a tough business, whoever you are an agent, this is the first achievement of this bill. And the third important message that this draft law has is that it will never be possible to implement the "Bakuriani plan", that is, no one will let the return of the National Movement to power in Georgia through NGOs. These are the three important messages delivered by this bill. For this, I would like to thank the People's Power team, which initiated the draft law, and each MP, who supported this draft law during the first reading," said Kobakhidze.

According to him, a principled decision was made, many things were taken into account, and today this decision was formalized in the Parliament.
