Minister of Defense: The country must have a well-trained reserve

The country must have a well-trained reserve, - said the Minister of Defense of Georgia.

The Minister spoke about the importance of the new draft Defense Code for the development of Georgia's defense capability.

As he noted, there is no alternative to the principle of total defense for a country with similar challenges as Georgia.

"We have no other alternative, except for the country to have a well-trained and well-prepared reserve. We all agree on this, both us and our partners", said Juansher Burchuladze.

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, Georgia will surely achieve the task of well-prepared reserve.

In addition, Juansher Burchuladze emphasized that compulsory military service will be applied to students only voluntarily.

"Students will voluntarily choose the program that we offer, which involves compulsory military service for one month every year," the Minister noted.
