Members of the United National Movement have arrived at the Batumi theater, where the Georgian Dream conference is to be held.
The participants of the rally are chanting: "Murderers". They reminded the ruling team of the case of late Nugzar Putkaradze, a member of the National Movement, and accused them of his murder, which resulted in a physical and verbal confrontation.
"Today, we came to the Batumi Drama Theater to peacefully express our protest and we planned to remind that Nugzar Putkaradze's case has been shelved. Murderers have arrived. They are attacking me. Several men physically assaulted me," said Khatuna Beridze, a member of the National Movement.
In response, members of the ruling team called on members of the opposition to leave the area.
"While you have a photo of Saakashvili in your hand, it is a shame to call us murderers," said the representatives of the ruling team.
