Public Defender to supervise Lazare Grigoriadis case

The Public Defender’s Office will supervise the case of Lazare Grigoriadis, who is accused of damaging the health of police officers and destroying state property during the March protests.

Public Defender Levan Ioseliani posted the respective statement on the social network.

According to him, the representative of the Public Defender has recently visited Lazare Grigoriadis in the penitentiary institution, talked to him about the conditions of his detention and placement in the institution.

"The Public Defender’s Office, during the course of the case, will supervise both the protection of his procedural rights and the realization of his right to a fair trial," Ioseliani said.
