To date, we have not been able to correct the financial reporting of the agency, which is Kezerashvili's responsibility, I cannot call this budget theft, it is organized robbery - there may be an additional case, Minister of Defense Juansher Burchuladze told reporters.

According to him, the previous government looted the state and it is not ruled out that there will be another case "due to looting".

"The former government robbed the state with more than 5 million. To date, we have not been able to correct the financial reporting of the agency, which is Kezerashvili's responsibility, I cannot call this budget theft, it is organized robbery.

I repeat, hundreds of millions are in receivable accounts, some are due to their incompetence, and there may be an additional case that is again due to robbery. We are trying to find documents on cases, on purchases that simply do not exist, and write them off from receivable accounts. However, it is not ruled out that there is organized crime among them. I can't call it anything else. This is not a crime committed by one person and it is not theft, it is robbery of the state by an organized group, which in that case was the entire government," Burchuladze said.

The Minister of Defense also responded to the BBC article regarding the former Minister of Defense Davit Kezerashvili and stated that the Georgian law enforcement officers closely cooperated with the partner countries in connection with the mentioned case.

"The pensioners of our friendly countries were robbed, and of course, this is also said for us, and we will always do our best to support the law enforcement officers so that such schemes no longer work. At the national level, our law enforcement officers closely cooperated with our partner countries and had quite good results in terms of investigation, and now it is to be clarified from the point of view of investigation, and of course, it is to be clarified legally how the investigative actions should continue - with us, in another country or jointly," said Burchuladze.
