According to the secretary general of Strategy Builder, MP Paata Manjgaladze, his party sees certain risks in the creation of a fact-finding commission regarding the judicial system, however, they will support the initiative.
As Manjgaladze told journalists, he sees risks in the process of decision-making during the work of a fact-finding commission.
“We see risks in the work of this commission, but we support its creation, taking into account the wishes of our colleagues. We see risks not only in the creation of the commission, but also in the decision-making process - there may be people in the opposition quota who may block the right decisions. Also, the risk is that the "clan" has banned judges from going to America, and do you think that any judge will come to the commission? - No way. The only chance we have is to summon former judges, as well as representatives of law enforcement agencies. It should also not be misunderstood that we need this commission to review the decisions of the sanctioned judges - no. There is quite high evidence for us, but we need the commission in order other disciplinary responsibilities to be applied to them apart from the visa restrictions," said Manjgaladze.
Regarding the creation of a commission relating to Mikheil Saakashvili, Manjgaladze says that Strategy Builder will support this issue and now "other oppositionists need to be convinced".
"It is clear that an investigative commission will not save Mikheil Saakashvili's health, but the crimes that happened around Saakashvili will be revealed. This will have a preventive function so that those who commit crimes today will not continue to commit them in the future too," said Paata Manjgaladze.
