If someone said that in theory there could be such a thing [circumvention of sanctions], it needs to be substantiated - whatever accusations have been made so far, they have been all absurd and disproved, - Minister of Defence Juansher Burchuladze told journalists, thus responding to the statement of Jim O'Brien, Head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination at the U.S. Department of State, that "transit of some electronic goods to Russia, including from Georgia, has increased significantly".

According to the Minister, the Government is taking care of preventing anything that can damage the country's reputation in the international arena.

"There were many accusations that had no basis. I am sure that there will be no basis for any accusation in the future. We pay maximum attention to prevent any facts that will be used against us and damage our diplomatic relations and reputation in the international arena.

It is clear that we are a neighboring country, and if someone said that in theory there could be such a thing, it needs to be substantiated. Until now, all the accusations have been absurd and disproven," said Burchuladze.
