The Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, together with the delegation, will pay a visit to the Republics of Malta and Italy on May 7-12.

According to the information of the Parliament of Georgia, the Chairman of the Parliament will hold meetings with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Malta and the President of the Republic of Malta. The meeting will be held with the members of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Maltese Parliament.

"As part of the visit, meetings are planned with the Prefect of the Dicastery of the Eastern Churches and the Secretary of State of the Holy See in the Vatican Apostolic Palace.

The Chairman of the Parliament and members of the delegation will meet the Chairman of the Lower House of the Italian Parliament and the Vice President of the Senate. The parliamentary delegation of Georgia, led by the Chairman of the Parliament, will meet the Minister of European Affairs of the Republic of Italy and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy.

Meetings will be held with members of the Italy-Georgia parliamentary friendship group and representatives of the Georgian diaspora. The members of the parliamentary delegation include: Nikoloz Samkharadze, Maka Bochorishvili, Givi Mikanadze, Ketevan Turazashvili and the head of the office of the Speaker of the Parliament, Levan Makhashvili," the information reads.
