SSG: Russian occupation forces illegally detained a Georgian citizen in the vicinity of Ergneti village

The representatives of the Russian occupation forces illegally detained a Georgian citizen in the occupied territory, near the village of Ergneti, Gori municipality. The State Security Service disseminates information about this.

According to the agency, upon receiving information about the mentioned incident, the State Security Service activated the hotline operated by the European Union Monitoring Mission.

"International partners and co-chairs of international discussions in Geneva were immediately informed about the incident.

All available mechanisms have been activated to release the illegally detained Georgian citizen as soon as possible.

Responsibility for all destructive actions committed on the occupied territories of Georgia, as well as along the occupation line, rests with the occupying power," the information reads.
