Giorgi Vashadze: We are doing our best to ensure that the door does not close, because the task of Georgian Dream is to isolate us, all European partners understand this very well

According to Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of the Strategy Builder, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) adopted a "severe" resolution regarding Georgia.

According to him, the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats directly calls on the ruling party to stop sabotaging the process of integration into the European Union and NATO by not fulfilling the 12 recommendations established by the European Commission.

"The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) supports Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic perspective, it is the only political family that unconditionally demanded the candidate status for Georgia a year ago, but a year later Georgian Dream catastrophically aggravated our situation.

The Alliance directly and clearly stated what needs to be done in order for Georgia to receive the candidate status. Let's say personally that yes, Georgian Dream is sabotaging. We are doing everything we can to ensure that this door does not close. Because the task of Georgian Dream is to isolate us and leave us alone with Russia, and all European partners understand this very well and see this very clearly, therefore, we need a lot of effort so that the path of European development in Georgia is not stopped and this perspective remains strengthened for Georgia. The only thing that preserves Georgia's European integration perspective now is the clear choice of our people, which, as everyone knows very well, is the European Union and NATO," said Giorgi Vashadze.

For information, the special resolution on Georgia's EU and NATO integration submitted by Strategy Builder and supported by the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) calls on the Government of Georgia and the Georgian Dream ruling party to come to terms with the sanctions imposed by the European Union and other countries on Russian aviation, be alert to potential attempts to evade sanctions.

In addition, the resolution calls on the ruling party to stop sabotaging the EU and NATO integration process by not fulfilling the 12 recommendations established by the European Commission and maintaining Bidzina Ivanishvili's oligarchic rule, to stop flirting with Russia by proactively deepening economic and political ties with it, to stop the anti-Western propaganda and disinformation campaign, to stop the political persecution and to release Lazare Grigoriadis, Nika Gvaramia and Mikheil Saakashvili.
