According to Levan Khabeishvili, chairman of the National Movement party, Mikheil Saakashvili will be an important factor in the defeat of Bidzina Ivanishvili, but what political role he will have in the process will be decided by the third president himself.
As Levan Khabeishvili told journalists, Mikheil Saakashvili is a citizen of Ukraine and he wants to get involved in Ukrainian politics, including for the benefit of Georgia.
"The talks that we are going to nominate Saakashvili as PM candidate is exaggerated. I said that Mikheil Saakashvili will be a certain factor in the defeat of Bidzina Ivanishvili, but he will decide himself what political role he will have in this matter. Until now, Mikheil Saakashvili has repeatedly stated the position that he does not intend to be in Georgian politics. He is a citizen of Ukraine, he wants to get involved in Ukrainian politics. Among other things, this will happen for the benefit of our country. So far, this position is permanent, although there is still speculation.
