Levan Bezhashvili: The leaked recording once again confirms the vassal attitude of the Georgian Dream government towards Putin's regime

The country is ruled by the vassal regime of Russian Dream, the deputy of National Movement Levan Bezhashvili told journalists, responding to the recording spread on social networks, which allegedly involves Zurab Abashidze, adviser to the Prime Minister on relations with Russia, and Mark Zilberkvit, who accompanied Vladimir during his visit to Tbilisi, which was followed by a protest.

Bezhashvili says that it will be frivolous to raise the question of Zurab Abashidze's responsibility, because Georgian Dream as a whole is involved in unofficial negotiations with Russia, and this is confirmed by the restoration of visa-free regime and flights.

"This recording once again confirms the kind of vassal attitude of the Georgian Dream government towards Putin's regime. It confirms the facts that have been voiced many times before: the connections of high-ranking officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Gomelauri with high-ranking officials of FSB, the visit of Lavrov's son - all this confirms that today, the country is ruled not by the Georgian Dream, but by the Russian dream. This should be the determining factor, and we should evaluate the activities of the Georgian Dream from this prism. Today, the country is ruled by the vassal regime of the Russian Dream," Bezhashvili said.

An audio recording was released on YouTube, in which Zurab Abashidze, the Prime Minister's adviser on relations with Russia, is allegedly talking with Mark Zilberkvit, the president of the Tchaikovsky Charity Foundation, who accompanied Vladimir Posner to Tbilisi. According to the recording, Abashidze calls those who protested Posner's visit to Tbilisi "a group of Nazis" and apologizes to Posner. The recording, the authenticity of which has not been confirmed, is dated April 1, 2021 and was released today.
