The attempt of the Georgian participants to transfer the hysteria of the rally from the streets of Tbilisi to the territory of Geneva failed, although the ongoing anti-Russian campaign in Georgia negatively affected the atmosphere of the meeting, and this was accompanied by the aggressive rhetoric against South Ossetia and Abkhazia, - reads the statement released by the so-called delegation of Tskhinvali relating to the 58th round of Geneva International Discussions.
According to the statement, in the background of the continuous growth of Georgia's military potential, signing an agreement on the non-use of force is becoming more and more important, although the "destructive position of the Georgian side" does not allow solving the problem.
"The South Ossetian, Abkhaz and Russian participants in the discussions paid priority attention to the need to develop a legally binding document aimed at guaranteeing the security of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, as a result of non-use of force by Georgia. Such a document will be the basis for maintaining stability. The destructive position taken by the representatives of Georgia does not allow progress in the solution of this key issue, which is becoming more and more important in the background of the constant growth of the military potential of Georgia", - reads the statement.
The 58th round of Geneva International Discussions was held on July 11-12.
